It is MY TIME
I started my coach to 5K program today. Outside. I actually started three days ago but I don’t think I did it properly since I let the freezing cold outside (AND smog) stop me from doing day 1 and completing day 2 and just stayed indoors. It was indeed a challenge and I almost gave up less than halfway through but I pushed myself and finished day 1. I did not finish it within the 25 minutes for which it is designed but I am taking my time. I stopped a lot of times after every 1-minute run and although I will not say that it got easier as I continued the run-walk interval, but I was getting happier as I neared the end.
I am also on day 3 of the 30-day AB challenge that my friend, Kharen, shared with me. I have A LOT to do since I have A LOT of fats that I need to burn before I can concentrate on developing my abs but then again, a step at a time. The photo below is supposed to be what should be done as far as the ab challenge is concerned but I’m finding the sit-ups really difficult to do for now so I’m doing more crunches instead.
It was a cloudy and a smog -‘gy’ day today (the usual Beijing) and COLD, too! I finished Day 1, though!:)
I know I am in for a tough ride and I’m aware of the huge challenges that are coming my way as I continue this quest to live a healthy life. However, I know that it is time, it is MY time.
The longest journey begins with a small step taken by a brave person. #couch25K
